About Me
I am a freelance sound designer, field recordist, and all-around audio guru based in the Seattle area. I have worked as a technical sound designer, building immersive soundscapes for a series of VR apps that allow users to explore UNESCO World Heritage Sites from a new prospective. In addition, I have worked with professional voice-over talent and producers at Audible Studios as an engineer, production coordinator, editor, and sound designer, where I helped to bring some of your favorite stories to life through sound!
While earning a bachelors degree in Music and Technology from Stevens Institute of Technology, I was able to work and learn in recording studios including the legendary Electric Lady Studios in Greenwich Village, and Asbury Park’s Lake House Recording Studio.
I spent four months in 2015 living in the foothills of the Black Forest in Freiburg, Germany, where I studied environmental management and sustainability. It was during this time that I was inspired to create the Soniferous Garden VR installation, an interactive experience that allows users to explore the soundscapes of two US National Parks: Yellowstone and the Badlands. The Installation was shown in 2017 at the Art and Technology exhibit at Hobart Gallery and the Stevens Innovation Expo.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading about field recording and growing my personal collection of nature sound recordings. I am a member of the American Society for Acoustic Ecology and the Game Audio Network Guild, and you can find me at game audio meet-ups and large conferences like GDC and AES. In the future I’m looking forward to creating captivating interactive audio for games and traveling to capture unique soundscapes across the globe!
